   Best Community Service Award
*
The Roxboro Rotary Club  received an award for the most outstanding achievement in Community Service at the recent Rotary District Convention.

Rotary Club of Roxboro, NC

Welcome to the Roxboro Rotary Club web site.  Since the club was founded in 1924, Roxboro Rotary Club has strived to be a premier community servant.  This year our slogan is "Rotary Shares". We intend to do just that.  We will share our wonderful talent among our members to give back to the community.

Our Roxboro Rotary Club is growing and we will certainly do our fair share in contributing to the goal of fighting Polio around the world which is part of Rotary International's goal. Additionally, support R.I.s efforts in literacy and Clean Water programs. It's great to be a Rotarian and Rotary makes a difference in the world.

Next year in 2008, we will have for only the second time in the Club's 84 year history our District Governor from the Roxboro Club.  Dr. Thomas Long was the first District Governor from Roxboro and now Don Buckner will assume that role.

We are proud you visited our web site and thank you. Our Rotary 4 way test in all the things we think, say and do is.... Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build good will and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

….President David....

The Roxboro Rotary Club, sponsored by the Oxford Rotary Club, was founded in 1924 with J. W. Noell elected as the first President. Mr. Noell was the oldest active newspaperman in North Carolina for many years that died at the age of 99.

From this Charter membership, the Club has consistently grown in both membership and community influence. It now has 43 members and has funded many Community Projects (local and internationally).
